Mount Elphinstone

This mountain will take your breath away in two FUNtastic ways: First with a 3-4 hours steep hike through dense forest and then with a stunning view from the top. On clear days, we will see kilometers and kilometers to the ocean and to the snowcapped mountains.

The Joffre Lakes adventure is touring and hiking in one. After driving the spectacular Sea to Sky Highway with stunning views to the Howe Sound and passing by famous Whistler, we arrive at Joffre Lakes Provincial Park. Just a few minutes walk brings us to Lower Joffre Lake, the start to a steep but rewarding hike to Middle Lake and finally Upper Lake with spectacular views to Matier Glacier. The Coffee stop in Whistler Village on the way back is another reward to look forward to.

Mount Steel

Come join us to a beautiful alpine hike through Tetrahedron Park.

An early morning 1 hour drive takes us to the parking lot in Tetrahedron Park. Sturdy shoes and a daypack are essential for this hike. Beautiful alpine flowers and forest along the trail are soon joined with a FUNtastic view to the Coast Mountains. After passing Edwards Lake and Cabin the steeper part of this hike brings us up to Mount Steel Cabin and a stunning mountain view. If you think it can’t get any better, wait until we reach the top of Mount Steel. Here you will have a 360 degree view with mountains, ocean, and beautiful inlets.

Mount Daniel

After a one hour drive along the windy Sunshine Coast Highway, we will get at the foot of Mount Daniel. This beautiful hike takes us up the hill along giant sword ferns on a steep trail partially in a creek bed. After an hour, we reach the summit with a stunning view to Pender Harbour and area. Mount Daniel is still a sacred site for the Sechelt Indian Band who’s young women built the ancient “moon rings” of stone on the summit during their coming of age ceremonies. Sometimes you can hear drums and watch the eagles hover above. A refreshing swim in Kathrine Lake is optional.

Soames Hill

Are you ready for a cardio challenge? Or do you prefer a moderate workout with stunning reward? Join FUNtastic Hikes and Tours to a hike up to Soames Hill. After a passage through a lush forest, around 200 stairs, and a rocky climb you get rewarded with a beautiful view to Gibsons Marina and Strait of Georgia. With a bit of luck, you will see a passing cruise ship or even jumping dolphins.
